Meltwate Floor Coating is a referral service. It has no crew and no installers. After you send a request, an independent provider in our network reaches out. That provider is a separate business. You deal with them directly from there.

What the provider may ask you

Expect a few simple questions. Keep your answers handy.

• Where is the floor, and how big is it?
• Is it a garage, basement, porch or workshop?
• Is there old paint, a coating or sealer on it?
• Do you see cracks, stains, flaking or damp spots?
• Has water ever sat on the slab?
• Do you have a rough timeline in mind?

Photos answer many of these. Send wide shots and close-ups.

Questions to ask the provider

You are hiring them. Ask plainly.

• What will you do to prep the slab?
• Which coating do you suggest, and why?
• How do you handle moisture and cracks?
• How long before I can walk or park on it?
• Is the estimate in writing, and what does it include?
• What happens if something peels or fails?
• Do you carry the licenses or insurance your area requires?

Write the answers down. Keep them with your photos.
